CHLORINE DIOXIDE (CLO2)

Very reactive and unstable gas used as a sterilant. Combines violently with organic materials. Explodes if heated or put into sunlight. Primarily used in bleaching of cellulose-based textiles, such as rayon, as well as flour and paper pulp.
