INTRA VIRES

An act is said to be intra vires (Òwithin the powerÓ) of a person or corporation when it is within the scope of his or its powers or authority. It is the opposite of ultra vires, (q. v.) Pittsburgh, etc., R. Co. v. Dodd, 115 Ky. 170, 72 S. W. 827.
