In medical jurisprudence. An attack or spasm of muscular convulsions, generallyattended with loss of self-control and of consciousness; particularly, such attacksoccurring in epilepsy. In a more general sense, the period of an acute attack of anydisease, physical or mental, as, a fit of insanity. See Gunter v. State, 83 Ala. 96, 3South. 600.
